The database includes templates to help students create their own business plans, a glossary of terminology used in business, and a list of business consultants, agencies, and organizations. The Business Plans Handbook, along with other searchable databases in the Baker Library/Bloomberg Center, requires a login name and password assigned by the university for access.

Northern Funds States Second Quarter Investment Manager Survey Results

With more than 25 years of experience working in the financial services and automotive industries, Eric Feldstein began working as chief financial officer for Health Care Service Corporation (HSCS) in May 2016. In addition, Eric Feldstein serves on the board of directors for Northern Trust Bank’s Complex of Mutual Funds (Northern Funds) and is a member of the board’s governance committee.

Established in 1889, the Northern Funds are a group of 48 funds, including several multi-manager funds, that contain more than $900 billion in assets under management.

In June 2016, Northern Funds announced the results of their second quarter investment manager survey. Many of its managers surveyed reported they are less optimistic in regards to housing prices, corporate revenue growth, and job growth. They also expect the U.S. equity market to remain volatile. Other findings include:

* About half surveyed believe that companies are delaying vital business decisions due to political uncertainties such as Brexit.

* More than one-third of managers believe that U.S. job growth will slow down or turn negative.

* More than two-thirds of managers expect an increase in market volatility.

Eric Feldstein, Executive Vice President of American Express

A New York City businessman with more than 25 years of executive experience, Eric Feldstein currently serves as executive vice president of the Enterprise Growth Group of American Express. He accepted this position after a successful career at General Motors (GM) and GMAC Financial Services.

Eric Feldstein is well regarded for his work in the automotive, consumer finance and financial services sectors. A graduate of Columbia University and Harvard Business School, Mr. Feldstein began his career in the treasurer’s office at General Motors. He earned promotions to director, regional treasurer of Europe, assistant treasurer, and CFO of GMAC Financial Services. He was named GM’s treasurer in 1997 — the youngest GM treasurer on record — and went to become GM vice president of finance. In 2002, he assumed responsibilities as CEO of GMAC, where he worked until 2008.

After a period as CFO and partner at hedge fund Eton Park Capital Management, Eric Feldstein joined American Express in 2010 as executive vice president. In his current position, Mr. Feldstein oversees the company’s foreign exchange international payments operations, its worldwide currency exchange businesses, its Travel Money products, and its growing fee-based service operations.

Outside of his work at American Express, Eric Feldstein also currently serves on the Board of Directors of Northern Trust Bank’s Complex of Mutual Funds (Northern Funds). The Northern Funds complex is comprised of 48 Funds, including 9 Multi-Manager Funds, with over $900 billion in assets under management. Eric is a member of the Board and a member of the Board’s Governance Committee.
